Trained as a dentist at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Dr. Carlos graduated in 1993 and later specialized in Oral Rehabilitation, a title he earned in 1998. From the beginning, his path was marked by a deep vocation for knowledge, participating in international congresses, hospital rotations, and university teaching at several institutions in Colombia.

From Dream to Project: The Evolution of CFC
That same year, 1998, alongside his wife—whom he affectionately calls “la Gorda”—he began his clinical practice at Continental Medical Center. But his entrepreneurial spirit quickly led him to take bigger steps. In 2003, he co-founded the “TIF Odontológica” alliance with Dr. Sergio Tinoco, a milestone in comprehensive dental care in Barranquilla.
In 2008, he took the next big leap, moving his operation to the Instituto Urológico del Norte, where he started with 5 offices and a growing team. Thanks to patient trust and demand for more complex treatments, in 2012 the practice expanded—adding more spaces, a modern sterilization center, and a radiology unit with cutting-edge technology.
Finally, in 2020, the current project was born: Clínica Odontológica CFC at Mall Plaza Buenavista, with more than 500 square meters, 12 treatment rooms, over 15 specialists, and its own in-house digital laboratory—consolidating a world-class model of care.
